The Howard E. and Marie R. Norman Family Album consists of a photocopy of the pages of a photograph album, with identifying notes by their daughter, Patt Peterson, and photographic copy prints of the 239 images in that album. Images include members of the Norman, Allenbaugh, and Rathjens families, their friends, and activities; construction of the Fairbanks Exploration Company's power plant and other buildings in Fairbanks, Alaska; mining operations on Little Eldorado Creek and Ester Creek; Fairbanks streetscapes and aerial views; the Fairbanks Dog Derby and participating mushers; and views of Interior Alaska from Ester and Fairbanks south to Birch Lake and Donnelly Station.
